Showdown: Donald Trump,
Congressional Investigations and the Spector of Impeachment in the Air
Attorney and columnist Jeff Robbins will discuss the current crisis between the Executive Branch and Congress in the context of the history of American congressional investigations.
Mr. Robbins is the former Chief Counsel for the Democrats on the United States Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations and former United States Delegate to the United Nations Human Rights Commission under President Bill Clinton. During his more than 35 years as a litigator and trial lawyer, Jeff represented parties in high-profile First Amendment, corporate takeover, employment, breach of fiduciary duty and fraud-based cases.
Beyond his legal practice, Jeff is a weekly columnist for the Boston Herald and a visiting professor at Brown University, where he teaches courses on congressional investigations and political journalism. He is the former Chairman of the New England Board of the Anti-Defamation League, and the former President of the World Affairs Council of Boston.
