Hybrid - Zoom and in-person at Berkshire Community College

Anastasia Stanmeyer and Ellen Croibier will lead discussions with women leaders in fields where men usually fill the top roles including politics, healthcare, the trades, finance, entrepreneurship, and police/fire/emergency medical services. Each week will feature such well-known local figures as State Representative Tricia Farley-Bouvier; Patricia Begrowicz, President and Owner of Onyx Paper; and Dalton Police Chief Deanna Strout, among others. We’ll ask how they achieved success in their careers, whether their gender had an impact on their work partners, clients and customers, and what advice they would give to young women today.

Anastasia Stanmeyer has been editor of Berkshire Magazine since its 2012 debut. She began her journalism career with daily newspapers, then she moved over to magazines, contributing to Time, Asiaweek, Newsweek, and Stern, among others.

Before moving to the Berkshires, Ellen Croibier was a mortgage banker serving the New York City and Northern New Jersey markets. At various points in her career, she was the only female loan officer; opened, staffed and managed a branch office; and was the second highest producing originator in the country for Chase Home Mortgage Services. She is currently Chair of OLLI’s Contemporary Gender Roles Shared Interest Group and serves on the Member Services, Marketing, Finance and Diversity Committees and the Curriculum Council. She previously served on the Development and University Days Committees as well as the OLLI Board. Although she often facilitates courses, this is her first time as an instructor.
