This course is offered online via the free, easy-to-use Zoom program.

Outsider art is traditionally defined as art created by self-taught artists, often outside the mainstream art world. This course looks at four very different artists sometimes described as outsider artists.

September 21: Kenojuak Ashevak - Inuit Art

October 5: Mary Lee Bendolph - Gee's Bend Quilts

October 19: Banksy - Street Art

October 26: Jean-Michel Basquiat - Angry Art     

Larry Goldberg holds degrees from University of Rochester, King’s College London, and University of Miami. He is an adjunct professor at Berkshire Community College (BCC). Mr. Goldberg has taught philosophy, the arts, and history at BCC, Southern Vermont College, and MCLA and his paintings and/or photos have been shown at the Milne Public Library, North Adams Co-op Gallery, the Intermodal Gallery and the BCC Orchid Show.
