This class will focus on writing convincing and well-researched op-ed essays, letters to the editor, and opinion pieces. We will concentrate on developing ideas, framing logical arguments, and writing persuasively and clearly. The class will also discuss publication opportunities, and participants will be encouraged to submit letters and opinion essays to various local and national venues. Students will share their ideas and writing in an informal and supportive seminar environment.
