R102 | The Operas of Giuseppe Verdi









Join in a survey of some of the operatic masterpieces of Giuseppe Verdi including: La Traviata, the last of Verdi’s middle period masterpieces; the most controversial of Verdi’s operas, Un Ballo in Masterpiece; and a deep dive into Verdi’s most performed opera, Aida.

Harvey A. Weiss has studied and enjoyed opera for the past 60+ years, on recordings and in person in opera house all over the world. He is a patron at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York and have had the privilege of meeting some of the stars of the operatic stage, including Placido Domingo, Bryn Terfel, Sandra Radvanosky and Dmitri Hvorastovsy. As the owner of Data Networks, Inc, he was a software engineer for 40 years.

This course has been postponed until 2023.
