French Conversation SIG

Do you speak French?  Would you like to get together with OLLI Members once a month (or so) and chat in French for an hour or so?  If so, the French Conversation SIG might be right for you.  There is a wide range of French fluency within the group, ranging from French mother tongue speakers through to people trying to revive their HS French skills.  Some knowledge is required, you would want to be able to participate in the discussions to get the most out of the group.

In non-COVID times we meet in local cafés and sample their coffee and croissants while chatting, but nowadays, Zoom seems to work pretty well for our meetings.

Check below to see details of our upcoming schedule.  Other proposed topics include reviewing a French movie or TV show, discussing French poetry and holding a virtual auction on French treasures and trips (you would have to say why you are interested in order to place a bid).

Please contact Monica Sinclair  or Philippe Jeanjean for more details or additional information about the French SIG.

Our next meeting will be on Zoom on Thursday, 25th May at 10am.

We will be talking about painters that lived or worked in France but were not French born, including the painter’s life and/or one of his/her works.
