Eight Sessions
This course teaches modern bridge techniques, for beginners, or returning players and social players who want to learn modern techniques. The
course is provided in 8 weekly sessions, covering the topics you need to enjoy playing bridge. You will be playing beginning with the first class.
The course is based on textbooks by Audrey Grant, a leading author in bridge instruction. Course notes and textbooks will be provided.
The
classes are held at the South Congregational Church, 110 South St, Pittsfield, where the Pembury Bridge Club runs competitive games multiple
days each week. After the 8 weekly sessions, opportunities are available to continue indefinitely with further practice, coaching, and competitive
games. Each class will begin at 2:30 PM, and complete in approximately 2 hours.
Peter Samsel, a retired engineer from General Dynamics, has been teaching bridge for 10 years, and is also Manager and Director of the
Pembury Bridge Club. He has received Teacher Accreditation by the American Contract Bridge League.
