We all have stories to share, including that one special story we've been meaning to get down on paper. The funny, poignant, clever story we love to tell our friends, families and colleagues. But what makes a great story? Whether fiction or non-fiction, whether comedy or drama, we all love great characters and a strong plot. In this workshop, participants will use the art and craft of storytelling to write their special stories -- from first to final draft. They will share and gently critique each other's work and, at the last session, explore opportunities for publication. The world is waiting for our stories. Let's start here!

Suggested Reading:

1. The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations  by Georges Polti.

2. Additional narrative non-fiction short stories provided throughout the course.

Active participation and attendance is required.
