Drawing is the foundation of art. This class will focus on perspective, balance, and form as it all relates to composition. You will learn to train your eye on seeing to take your work from sketch to finish drawing. There will be still life set ups, drawing outdoors, or drawing a photo of your choice.

Ilene Richard is a full-time artist who has a studio at the Clock Tower in Pittsfield. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in Graphic Design and Illustration, Ilene has had the opportunity to illustrate many children’s books with Scholastic, Random House, Kar-Ben, and Houghton Mifflin to name a few. Ilene’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries around the country.
