This course will explore general concepts of law such as their function, appropriateness, and relevancy. It will also delve into the thought process of lawyers acquire in law school, and why this is a skill set for everyone to have. Additionally, we will touch on the issues studied in several traditional law school courses such as contracts, torts, real property and more. We will consider how those subjects apply to common everyday living circumstances, and the issues that most of us face at one time or another but don't think about until they are upon us. Being forewarned so as to be forearmed with a legal mindset will only help you navigate through many of life's challenges. The teaching format will include both instruction and a bit of friendly Socratic method where students get to participate if they wish.
