Come join me for a weekly focus on a single opera (one per session), including a brief biography of the composer, librettist, first performances and artists, followed by a slideshow of significant scenes in the opera, paired with audio excerpts from an exceptional recording of that opera.

Christine Casey: A native of the northern suburbs of Chicago, Christine attended Northwestern University, where she earned two degrees in Music Education. She retired from public school teaching, having taught at Fenton High School in Bensenville, where she was the choir director and department chair of Music and Art. As a soprano soloist, she has performed actively in the Chicago area. For the past eleven years, Christine has volunteered as a community and school lecturer, previously for the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Opera Lovers Lecture Corps in Chicago, and recently in the Berkshire Community College OLLI program.
