The Comedy of Errors, one of Shakespeare’s earlier works, features some themes which will
endure throughout his career. While incorporating great comedic timing,
the plot involves a shipwreck, two sets of twins, and a family fractured and
reunited, all while one of the main characters spends what promises to be his
last day on earth under a death threat. And everyone ends up happy! It’s the 16th century equivalent of a beach read—so come along for a
romp in Ephesus as we work our way through this entertaining play.
The BBC film version is also available through the Kanopy website.
