This course will teach active older adults of all abilities basic self-defense, situational awareness and personal safety tips in a safe and supportive environment. The techniques and exercises are adjusted accordingly to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Laycolaion Freeman is a resident of Pittsfield. His background and experience in martial arts and boxing span over 40 years and make him a highly accomplished and knowledgeable instructor. His achievements, such as competing in the Junior Olympics at a young age and winning the Massachusetts Golden Gloves at 15, as a member of the renowned West End Gym in Lowell, MA. demonstrate his exceptional skills and dedication to the sport. Earning a second-degree black belt in Kempo further showcases his commitment to martial arts.
