T101 | Exploring Lenox on Foot | Len Gray and Nancy Seguin Tuesdays - 9:30 a.m. In-person at various locations in Lenox Register for hiking classes by clicking here. This is different from other course registrations. |
This series of five hikes will highlight special locations and vistas in the Lenox area. While still finalizing locations and details, the hikes likely will include Kennedy Park with some highlights of the cemetery at Church on the Hill, a loop around Monk's Pond and Kennedy Cliffs, trails and gardens at The Mount, a Tanglewood Tour including nearby trails by Stockbridge Bowl, and Pleasant Valley with vistas of Richmond Pond from Lenox Mountain. We anticipate hikes will be in the 2.5 mile to 4.0 mile range in distance and each will last 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours. Len Gray is an experienced hiking guide and has been a participant and instructor for OLLI hiking classes over the last few years. He has also led hikes for Berkshire Camino, a private hiking company and, several years ago, completed hikes of the "High 46 Peaks" in the Adirondack Mountains. Len enjoys hiking historic sites and being in natural settings with other like-minded folks. Nancy Seguin is a lifelong volunteer and passionate explorer of nature, history, and cultural venues. An experienced hiking guide, she enjoys creating fun and mindful learning experiences while bringing communities together in a scenic setting. Nancy is a member of various outdoor recreation and conservation organizations appreciating an active lifestyle of walking/hiking, biking, and qigong with others of shared interest. Previously, she was a Trail Steward for North County Land Trust and led hikes for Berkshire Camino. "Hoping to see you on the trails soon!" |
