Join us for another fascinating discussion in OLLI's 2018 Distinguished Speakers Series. Drawing on years of research and mentoring by old Lenox residents, Cornelia Brooke Gilder will give a unique virtual tour of unchanged corners of the Berkshires - some accessible to the public, others still private - which were cherished spots for Edith Wharton more than a century ago.

A lifelong Berkshire resident, Ms. Gilder was educated at Vassar College and Cambridge University, and is co-author of Houses of the Berkshires:1870-1930 (Acanthus Press)and Hawthorne’s Lenox (History Press).  She is co-curator of a current exhibit on Edith Wharton’s husband, Teddy, at the Mount. Her most recent book, Edith Wharton’s Lenox, was published in 2017.
