It is great that so many OLLI hikers want to get into the woods this spring.  With this in mind...

This new addition to our Spring Term will take hikers on trails rated easy or moderate that combine beauty with parking capacity to accommodate up to 20 hikers.  Trail selections will be finalized as we go along but possibilities include The Boulders, Pittsfield State Forest trails, Shaker Mountain, Holy Mountain, The High Road, Taconic Crest, and Mount Greylock trails.  

With a start time of 3:00 on Tuesdays, expect hikes to take a minimum of 90 minutes but allow for two hours or more as our walking time will vary with trail conditions, pleasant distractions along the way, and the pace of the group. 

• Plan to wear solid hiking shoes or boots.  
• Hiking poles are highly recommended and 
• It is the season for bringing bug and tick spray.

A seasoned year-round Berkshire hiker, John Kidd, will be the leader for these hikes.  Returning to familiar trails, his motto is “One never steps onto the same trail twice.” This is especially true in the spring.
