"Antiques Roadshow"—with a focus on fine art oil paintings! Are you curious about the restoration potential of your treasured paintings? OLLI at BCC is thrilled to offer a special event inspired by the popular "Antiques Roadshow"— but with a focus on fine art oil painting restoration.

This event is a unique chance to learn more about your fine art oil artwork—or the artwork of others—the causes of deterioration, and the possible steps to remedies and restoration. No sales pitches involved.

Participants are invited to submit their paintings online to OLLI.
A form will be linked in the registration confirmation email.  Specifics for submission can be found in this form.

Five submissions will be chosen for a live, in-person review and evaluation by Mr. Amuso during the event. If selected, you will be invited to bring your painting in person to Berkshire Community College on November 3.  The submission form is linked in the registration confirmation email. - Submissions are now closed, but we would love for you to attend!

Yes, you can attend without submitting a painting!

If you would like to attend the event and learn by hearing about the causes and remedies of fine art restoration, register today!

This still life was hung over a mantel and was rescued from a house fire. It was thrown through a window, landed outside with heavy smoke and water damages and various scratches. This painting was brought back to good health by Master Conservator, Troy Amuso.  Age at the time, and artist unknown.
Not all paintings need to be in this dire a condition to be considered for evaluation at this event.

Troy Amuso entered the world of art restoration in 1977 working as a studio apprentice in southern Westchester County, New York, under highly respected Dutch art conservator, Yan Vanderviver. It was that unique opportunity that sparked Troy’s passion in the craft of art conservation, setting him on a path towards an unyielding career as a fine art oil painting conservator from a young age. From 1977 to 1995 Troy held studio positions focused on the preservation of fine art in New York, Connecticut and Los Angeles. It was during those formative years that Troy earned a respected reputation for his conservation work from art collectors, art galleries, and private museums throughout the North East and West Coast.
