Have you always secretly wanted to wanted to step into the spotlight, singing your favorite song from the Great American Songbook? Join us for an online cabaret performance course with acclaimed performer and voice instructor Sherri James Buxton!

Mondays, April 26 - July 6th
6:30pm-8:30pm EDT on Zoom
Limited to 12 participants. Tuition: $120

Class members receive individual coaching and learn by example while watching other participants as they are coached in the intimate art of cabaret singing that will enhance ANY style of singing.  Topics covered include: interpretation, phrasing, style, microphone technique, and stage presence to deliver an honest, musically pleasing performance. After nine sessions the course culminates in an online performance you can share with family and friends! If you are a singer interested in perfecting your craft, this workshop is for you. Bob Shepherd, a musician’s magician, accompanies.

Sherri Buxton is a master teacher who has inspired the development of a whole generation of cabaret singers and performers in the Berkshires. She has appeared on and off Broadway and in numerous New York cabarets. As a recording artist for RCA, she recorded “Sweet Talkin’ Guy”. Nightclub and cabaret credits include The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, Mass., where she received standing ovations, The Ansonia Hotel’s Continental Baths, and Playstreet in New York City. She has performed with Freddie Prinz and Jackie Mason at the New York and Chicago Playboy Clubs and with Rodney Dangerfield at his New York City club.
