Award-winning author and Williams College Professor Susan Dunn will discuss Franklin Roosevelt’s election to an unprecedented third term in the White House and his administration’s preparations and complex mobilization for war, all set against the backdrop of the virulent isolationist movement at home and the barbaric Nazi onslaught in Europe. All those programs and plans marked the country’s transition into the preeminent military, industrial, and moral power on the planet.
Admission is $10 for OLLI at BCC members, and $15 for the general public. Tickets are also available at the door. Admission is free to Berkshire Community College students and youth 17 and under.
