OLLI Winter Open House

You are invited to OLLI's free, fun, festive winter open house! Open to both members and non-members of OLLI, you'll enjoy delicious refreshments, meet interesting people, and hear from our winter instructors.

Plus, if you are not yet an OLLI member, if you join OLLI at the Open House, your first year's membership will be 50% off!

The Open House will be held in Berkshire Community College's beautiful new Connector Lounge, marked C on the BCC campus map found here. There will be plentiful signs to guide you there and free parking in the Visitors Lot, as well as handicapped accessible parking very near the Connector Lounge.

Instructors who will be present to talk about their upcoming winter classes include:

Multicultural BRIDGE co-founder & CEO Gwendolyn VanSant, who is co-curating a new course on W.E.B. Du Bois for OLLI.

Retired professor Katherine Kidd, who will be leading a class on 20th century philosopher Hannah Arendt.

Drew Herzig, one of the instructors in the course on Corrective History as a Path to the Future.

Ken Stark, who will be teaching a class on Tchaikovsky.

Jamie Keller, who leads a course on reading Virgil's Aeneid in the original Latin (it's AOK if you are not fluent!)

Plus Howard Arkans, who leads Tuesdays at the Movies: Film Noir; Tom Hodgson, Aging Through the Ages instructor, Bill Cameron, who will examine the existence of God through the eyes of philosophers, and more!

Our winter semester of fascinating classes begins January 15th, and we are offering classes in Pittsfield, Great Barrington and Williamstown on Tolstoy's War and Peace, W.E.B. Du Bois, Advances in Medicine, film noir, philosophy, Tchaikovsky, poetry and more. OLLI classes have no tests, no grades, and no prerequisites - just learning for the love of learning!
