Leonard Bernstein is one of the legendary figures of American music. He was a multi-talented genius, gifted as a pianist, composer, and conductor. He was also a teacher, social activist, lecturer, and writer. He lived many lives during his 72 years. Professor Yudkin will outline Bernstein's multiple contributions throughout his life and will highlight musical examples from "West Side Story," "Candide," "The Chichester Psalms," "Mass" and many other works.
