Philanthropy is an extraordinary engine in our community locally and around the world. Learn more about the state of giving and how best to make a difference with Abbie Von Schlegell, CFRE, nationally known development consultant.

Ms. Von Schlegell has over 40 years of direct fundraising and nonprofit management experience in four national organizations and several consulting firms. She was the editor of the first publication about women’s philanthropy and has a strong interest in that growing arena. She is a Certified Governance Trainer for BoardSource, and former Adjunct Faculty at Boston University. She speaks and provides training about nonprofit subjects, particularly related to fundraising and governance issues and challenges. Her specialties include major gifts programs, capital and endowment campaigns, start-up programs, women’s giving programs and coaching.
