Capitalism has been a powerful force in shaping the world as we know it. But how do we weigh the opportunity afforded through the free market with the marginalization, oppression, and pervasive inequality within the distribution of primary social goods? Two competing theories of justice will be introduced to help attendees engage the topic.

Professor Kurt Stuke is an adjunct professor at New England College in New Hampshire. His teaching focuses on philosophy, politics, and economics as well as political theory.  Professor Stuke and family reside in Contoocook, New Hampshire and have a small flock of chickens, one dog, and several cats.

Admission is $10 for OLLI at BCC and Berkshire Museum members, and $15 for the general public.  Admission is free for Berkshire Community College students, youth 17 and under, and those holding WIC, EBT/SNAP, or ConnectorCare cards.

Pre-registration is required. Click here to register safely and securely online or call 413.236.2190.
