OLLI Programs & Events 2020-21

OLLI has revamped for online engagement and made big plans for the coming year!  While we’re hard at work on even more, here’s a glance at what we have coming up

Registration will generally be available three to six weeks in advance of the event.

Learn to Zoom with us! We’re happy to provide training and support to any OLLI member who has not yet tried online learning with Zoom, or doesn’t yet feel comfortable with it. If you would like to learn more, email us at or call 413-236-2190 or and we’ll connect you to a free Zoom training.


Our Winter 2021 semester will also be fully online and accessible from wherever you are. It is currently scheduled for January 19-February 26, 2021. The catalog will be sent out in December!


Tuesday, December 1, 5:00 pm: Williams College Professor Jay Pasachoff- “Solar Eclipses: Sometimes Local and Always Spectacular”

Monday, December 7, 7:00 pm: A conversation with Barbara Bonner, author of “Inspiring Forgiveness: Poems, Quotations and True Stories to Help with Forgiving Yourself and Others.”

Wednesday, December 9th, 2:00 pm:  An online lecture on the Clark Art Institute’s first outdoor art exhibit, Ground/Work, which you can visit for free at your leisure.

Thursday, December 17, 3pm: Join us for OLLI’s free, fun online Winter Open House and hear from our stellar winter instructors.

Tuesday, January 5th, 3:00pm: Dr. Paula Aucoin Blagg joins our Distinguished Speaker Series with a talk on the latest updates on Covid-19.

Tuesday, January 12, 6pm: Pioneering civil rights leader Fred Gray, who represented Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks, and many more, in conversation with OLLI instructor and speaker Douglas Mishkin.

Tuesday, January 19-March 3: OLLI’s winter semester of intriguing classes will be fully online & available from wherever you are! Registration opens soon.

Saturday, January 30th: Join us for the opening reception of OLLI at BCC’s first ever Virtual Art Show featuring a variety of artwork by over 40 OLLI members.

Thursday, February 25th, 7:00-8:30pm: Berkshire Community College History Professor Chris Laney leads a talk on Conspiracy Theories and what they mean today.

Thursday, March 4th: Dr. James Acker of the University of Albany discusses the ongoing efforts to uncover wrongful convictions.

Thursday, April 8th, 7pm: Professor Gwen Jordan of Bay State College leads a talk on “Activist Women Lawyers: A Historical Perspective.”

March 22-April 30: OLLI’s spring semester of fascinating classes will be online and available from wherever you are.

Spring 2021 (date TBD): Eugenie Sills and Frances Jones-Sneed will lead a conversation on the restoration and future of Great Barrington’s esteemed Clinton Church.

Thursday. June 3rd,  7 pm- Prof. Robert Surbrug of Bay Path College on "Women and War"

June 2021: Professor David Baum of Simon’s Rock leads a talk on “What is Living and What is Dead in Fascism? the 20thCentury's Most Troubling and Enduring Idea at One Hundred.”   

Plus many of our Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) are meeting online, including SIGs focusing on Playreading, French Conversation, Gender Roles in the 21st Century, Mystery Novels and more. All SIGs are free for OLLI members.
